Conexión Thalia

The update of the weekend: nice, nice and re-nice. I love to have Papa & Mama at home. We have been discovering Brighton Beach (or Little Russia, as you wish), Central Park, Chinatown, Little Italy, Soho and Tribeca. Some with Martin and some with the Simard bunch! The weekend has been very sunny and I can guess by the shine in their eyes they are just loving it!

Today, though, the Simard's left and I am working so they are visiting the MoMa alone... And tonight Felix and I have an ABC event: the first anniversary of the radio show of Thalia. Hope to have fun and be able to take a pic with her!

Dear 'papi'...

Today is Daddy's Day in Spain and my papi is going to be in New York on Friday. So, you can guess how excited I am. Two days and my parents will see my beloved Brooklyn, stroll lovely Manhattan and meet the friends of my parallel life.

I am happy they are visiting me. But I cannot help to forget it is Easter and I am not in Spain. I miss Spanish holidays: Semana Santa in Seville and Las Fallas in Valencia. I know, we have parties here too. But Saint Patrick's (on Monday) was not as I expected, just green hats and drunk hooligans all over the place, the whole day. And I tell you, at 10am it is just disappointing!

I am in the office but... Me acuerdo de ti! Feliz Día del Padre!

3, 2, 1...

I am desperately thinking about the weekend.

It is not because Martin will be here earlier than usual, neither because of the show (on the air on Saturday). But because this has been a very long week. Summing up we have had nine meetings and it is still Thursday... All good news and prospective hard work but I need some rest, peace to eat normally and exercise.

And although we are almost celebrating Easter I will proclaim my New Year's Resolution: shortly I will enroll a gym. I know it sounds like the end of the world (at least inside my head), but I am not used to pay for a gym, I miss my old school days teaching at the swimming pool...

Ok guys, long time without talking to you. It looks like I am always complaining about the rush my life is experiencing in this city! But I can barely believe what happens on a daytime basis.

Just briefing the last few months...

- Christmas and New Year's were awesome.
- I went to my master's degree graduation in Barcelona.
- Visited Canada a couple of times again (last one for La Nuite Blanche a Montreal)
- My parents bought the plane tickets to visit me and will be here next week's weekend!
- I started working as a production assistant and became the associate producer of the company!
- I got my working permit's extension.
- We started the waiver's procedure to apply for a new visa next October.
- And I have been learning a lot. I mean, much more than I was expecting!

And now, I cannot wait to give you the latest news! Felix has a music show on the air in Puerto Rico and I will be hosting the first shows of the new season! I know, it's too much, I cannot believe it!
