Dreaming about spa-ing...

Already two weeks out of space. I must brief a couple of things!

1. I never got the chance to see Thalia but... I personally shook hands with Mr. Tommy Motola. It was like meeting Steven Spielberg, I swear. Everybody on the press backstage was looking at Felix and I. And there we were greeting him for the first anniversary of his wife's show.

2. Papá & Mamá saw the Moma, the Met and the Natural History Museum. I guess never been so tired of museums in their lives. For the ones who have not been there yet: the never ending corridors can (honestly) became a nightmare.

3. We visited Philadelphia on Friday March 28th. Nice but, as Miguel says, "these Americans are really good at merchandising". Tones of information about the Independence Bell (a bigger deal than what it actually is) while in Spain we still do not know how to claim attention towards our treasures...

4. We met twice for dinner with Felix & Yamila, his wife. Once at Centrico, one of Aaron's restaurants. Simply delicious, as always! Once at home, where we could taste my mum's awesome Spanish omelette!

5. We took the South Ferry on Saturday morning to sightsee the Statue of Liberty. Yes, it is not necessary to pay the touristic ferry and freeze yourself at this time of the year. I recommend the long expedition (with a first stop at the Statue and a second one at the Museum of Immigration) from May to October. Otherwise, it is a bit uncomfortable due to the strong wind.

6. My dad bought a pair of Levi's, the second pair in his whole life! And my mum a wonderful Nine West purse. Yes... I bought two pairs of glasses finally (I was just waiting for mum's advice) and finally I can see properly again... youpee!

7. We tried Pretzels, Hot Dogs, Sushi, Malasian, Udon and Mexican. Qué rico!

8. We got to the airport on time because my dad is a freak of punctuality.

9. We discovered their flight back to Barcelona (transferring in Zurich) was canceled. What??? Swiss Airlines, United, Virgin and British Airways canceled more than half of their flights on Sunday March 30th. They were relocated with Lufthansa for Monday night, twenty-six hours of delay.

10. We were sent to the Holyday Inn of JFK to spend the night. I jumped on the hotel beds and wanted to yell at the manager when he told me I could not stay because I was not affected by any flight status. What??? That was after the manager of Swiss Airlines sweared to me they were paying for my expenses due to the lack of Spanish translators at the hotel.

11. Finally they paid for my stay and we tried to rest.

12. We took the first shuttle back to JFK, the AirTrain, the E train, the F train ad got to my office. I shot two shows of Musica Caliente (with big black bags under my eyes and an awful lot of make-up) while my parents were at Bloomingdale's and Daffy's.

13. We took a cab and got to JFK. We checked-in, chatted, hugged, kissed, laughed and cried because they were leaving me alone again. I know, my whole and complete adult decision, but it does not make it less difficult.

And for the rest of the week... I was kind of sad/wasted.

On Saturday I went out with Katia & Benoit, my swiss friends. And Miguel and Daniel, the new INTEGRANTS' intern, a nice fellow from Oviedo.
